I’ve been loving my short hair – it’s so versatile, easy, and fun.  Some days I’ll be really into sleek and sexy – other days curly and cute.  To achieve this look you will need:

First, you’ll need to section your hair into workable amounts.  The smaller the area of hair, the more curls which translates to more volume.  I’ll curl my entire head but not comb through the curls to make them softer (I like to keep that for the end).  Once you’ve thoroughly curled – it is now time to incorporate the hair oil.  Ideally a quarter size pump will suffice but it also depends on your hair thickness.  I’ll gently brush out the curls with my fingers (covered in oil) in order to maintain frizz action.  Then I’ll calm down the curls and place my desired hair part.  Lastly, it’s time to spray it in place!  I prefer Elnett because it’s flexible yet durable – not to mention it’s also incredibly affordable.

Ps. Pair with pretty pink pumps for alliteration flair ya little classic curly cutie.

I’m all about summer hair – it’s incredibly effortless, sun-kissed, and playful.  I recently discovered Bumble and Bumble’s Surf Foam Spray and wow it’s a hidden gem.  Now with this product – please note that  little goes a long way and can be used with damp or dry hair.  I spritz a little mist all around for volume and blow dry for 30 seconds or so for volume.  I then grab my wide curling iron and bend a few of the ends for that effortless beach wave aesthetic.  Lastly, I’ll finish the look with The Ouai hair oil on the ends for some gloss. Spring is one of my favorite times of the year.  Everything is FRE$H – new wardrobe, makeup, etc.  I ventured over to Cabo for the weekend with my oldest sister, Erika, and paid my dues ala glam squad for her and the gals.  Glowing skin was obviously my main focal point with pops of color to be playful around la playa.  Makeup Forever’s star powder in vibrant colors – such as iridescent fuchsia, orange, and blue were my go-to.  Ofra sent me this fabulous blush/highlighter that came just in time – everyone was basically Jlo for the weekend.  Lastly, the secret to creating the perfect glow?  SETTING SPRAY – Smashbox photo finish primer water before AND after application.  I kept it pretty effortless with the hair and used Ouai beach wave spray and oil. Xx

I had an amazing opportunity to work the SAG Awards with the People Magazine/Events team of Time Inc.  Seeing the cast of Hidden Figures and their acceptance speech really inspired me as well as Denzel Washington.  Highlight of the night – photobomed by Lori Petty from the cast of OITNB.  ALSO – a few hair looks I was playing with that weekend and my beautiful mama’s glam.  Xx
