Ipsy was founded by #girlboss Michelle Phan – she has inspired countless women around the world through her beauty video tutorials on YouTube. I really love Ipsy because not only does each glam bag arrive in a really cute reusable makeup bag, but every product has been extremely satisfactory. Below are some look created by products that have arrived in my glam bags. The products used are always listed in my Instagram posts.
I have admired Jen Atkin for quite sometime – she is the ultimate go getter and has styled hair for some of the most glamorous and trendsetting stars- Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Emma Stone, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba, Kim Kardashian, Cindy Crawford, Katy Perry, and Christina Hendricks (to name a few). Starting her career assisting Andy Lecompte and working at some of Beverly Hills’ best salons, Jen quickly found herself on Madonna’s 2006 ‘Confessions’ tour, styling hair behind the scenes. With her unique ability to thrive under pressure, Jen began working fashion week in New York and Paris every season, quickly grasping what it means to be a high fashion stylist. Working with Guido Palau, Danilo, and Renato Campora, Jen began styling hair for some of the hottest designers and models including Louis Vuitton, Alexander Wang, Chloe, Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, Marchesa, and Christian Dior. Jen was genuinely interested in my career and when we parted ways she said, ‘I don’t doubt that I will be seeing you sometime soon.’
Ps. I purchase the Ouai beach wave spray, hair oil, and hair lotion and I basically use them every day. The wave spray is perfect for the Summer and letting your hair air dry!
Is it ever too early to start thinking about Halloween? Didn’t think so. That being said, I recently shot my first tutorial on this classic Clueless costume with a twist. Zombie makeup does not require special effects makeup – you just need some quality products and eyelash glue. The video will list all products used and a step by step tutorial on how to achieve this look under $50. As always, photo/video creds to my girl, G.
