Drip Doctors specializes in IV Vitamin Therapy, Hydration, Anti-Aging, Cosmetic Enhancements and Concierge Treatments. CEO, Jamila Sozahdah has been killing the game ever since starting in 2014. Not only does her beauty make a presence in a crowded room, but her sense of empowerment, energy, and success takes it to another level.  At the end of our glam session, Jamila injected a Glutathione/ B Complex IV Push which revived me from my back-to-back weekend. Highly recommend! Xx #NatUp

Beyonce said it best, ‘Who run the world? GIRLS.’ I’m thrilled to announce that @makememaldonado will now feature #makememaldonadobeautyandbrains showcasing those ladies with the ambition to make a difference and take on the world that constantly shoves the belief of seeing other women as competition, rather than accomplishments. Dr. Jannelle Aquino conquered Brown University Med School and was dolled up for her celebration this weekend. Xx #NatUp

Weekend update alert! It was a jam packed weekend with new clients and application first times. I was able to experiment with hair aesthetics, new clients, and on-set makeup rather than glam. It was a great experience and here are some highlights below. Xx #NatUp

So so so many moods were felt this weekend.  It all started with a smokey eye and big hair vibe — I was mostly inspired by the amount of JLo I was bumpin’ all day.  Then I took a shot at recreating Desi Perkin’s glitter cut crease (which made me realize I have to use water proof liquid eyeliner due to my allergies).  Next, I went to Cinespia at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery with the fam on Saturday aka an excuse to rock some black lippies.  Lastly, Sunday was a fun-day ending with the perfect orange by Estee Lauder. Coachella is the land of carefree livin’ and strutting in desert realness.  Although the weather can get temperamental, I always look forward to this time of the year to play with some looks.  The makeup trend of this year was glittaah — lots of it.  Glitter down the middle part of your hair to glitter as face highlight, it was gorg.  T’was a good time con musica y amigas.

E.l.f. Cosmetics has been a personal favored brand of mine since I first read their business model while finishing business school at Pepperdine University.  The founders identified their target market, executed a quality product at their ideal price point, and crushed it.  I decided to do a look solely using E.l.f. Cosmetics products (broken down to eyes, lips, face for those of you unfamiliar with the brand).

First I started with the illuminating face primer mixing radiant glow and brightening lavender to create a healthy even glow. Then applied the foundation palette which comes with four different shades, it’s perfect for contouring (especially if you’re new to the game and don’t want to splurge on something you’re not comfortable with yet).  I’m all about a solid brow so highly recommend the neutral brow pencil and brush UP with the brow gel to create some texture.  For the lid, I kept it fairly simple with the baked eye shadow in enchanted, which also can be used as a highlighter (it’s AMAZE).  To add some definition I kept it clean with the sleek liquid eyeliner — it has the best brush for precision.  For under eye coverage, I used the hd lifting concealer in light and set with hd under eye setting powder in sheer.  Then for the cheeks, I lightly added blush in pink passion and contouring blush and bronzer in St. Lucia.  Finally, I generously applied the jumbo lip gloss stick in sangria starters and powdered my face with high definition powder in sheer and sprayed makeup mist and set.

Cue in the ‘I got that red lip classic thing that you like’ because this is the go to classic glam. My favorite red mixture at the moment is Kiko Cosmetics 609 topped with Dior Addicts Ultra Gloss in 851. It creates that blue red tone that pops but also not overpowering since the Kiko color is a deeper red and the gloss adds some sheen. I kept the lid pretty simple with a mixture of Mac’s Blonde’s Gold pigment over Urban Decay’s Chopper and darkened with Mac’s Swiss Chocolate matte. Toss on Ardell 105 lashes and slaaay honey.

Ps. I added a simple French braid down the center and teased the remaining with some Dry Bar dry shampoo and spray to add some texture.

Much like the majority of young gals living in Los Angeles — I was pretty eager to try the Kylie Lip Kit.  I know it’s been a hassle ordering them online before they sell out within minutes, but my friend was able to get her hands on #DolceK.  I will say that this product was worth the hype.  The application process was super smooth — the kit comes with a liner and matte shade.  I wore it to the beach to see how it would hold up against the heat and having a Pacifico by the Pacific.  Turns out it does not come off and it does not get icky after a couple hours like other long lasting liquid lipstick in market.  Although Kylie’s product is quality, I recently read an article  on Allure that identifies the same ingredients in the Kylie Lip Kit as Colour Pop, for merely the fraction of the fraction of the cost. #TheMoreYouKnow, ya know? Xx
